While a wallet can be created with just one DAU Key card, additional cards are recommended for enhanced security purposes, as you can only create a backup and an access code for your wallet with a 2 or 3 card set. The number of cards in your set (2 or 3), corresponds to the number of copies of your private key in existence. If one card is lost or stolen, the backup cards serve to restore access to your wallet.

With a single card, you will not have any backup cards for your wallets or an access code, therefore if you lose the primary card, you will lose access to all your digital assets. Anyone who obtains your card will have full access to your assets. Therefore, we highly recommend never relying solely on one card without backups.
